I discovered beaded capes while running my boutique, Tippy Tailor, buying them from a wholesaler in LA. I closed the shop in 2024, but the capes stayed with me. I remembered the joy they brought and how excited everyone was to try one on. In my heart, I knew they could be made with better quality and more striking designs. That’s when Edge of Ether was born.

These aren’t the cheap beaded capes you’d find in a costume store. Each one is meticulously designed and made with devotional attention to quality, hand-beaded by master artisans over 15+ hours. I order them in small batches of 10, so they’re never mass-produced.

My favorite thing is watching someone put one on for the first time. Almost instantly, they twirl. Their aura brightens, and they become more radiant, all from one simple addition to their outfit. These capes truly transform the wearer. I also love how versatile they are: worn forward or backward, open or clasped, over a slip dress, denim, or a bodysuit.

Every Edge of Ether cape is made with intention, artistry, and spirit. To honor the craftsmanship and keep your pieces radiating their highest energy, here’s how to care for them.

• Store your cape on a hanger or in its velvet carrying bag. We recommend having the bag with you when you wear the cape out!
• Avoid snagging on rough surfaces or jewelry, and be mindful of not sitting on extra long strands. We recommend taking our longer capes off for car rides!
• Spot clean gently by hand using an alcohol-based spray or wet cloth.
• Lay flat to dry.
