Welcome. I’m Taylor Tatum, and this is the home for everything I make: one-on-one somatic pleasure work called Golden Receiver, a line of hand-beaded capes called Edge of Ether, the Birthright podcast and community, my music, and a shop full of things that help you slow down and feel more at home in your body.
It might look like a lot of different things. It’s really one thing, said in different ways: come home to what’s already here.
This first post is a map. If you’re new here, it’ll show you around. If you’ve been following along for a while, it’s a chance to see how all the pieces fit together.
Why I do this work
For a long time, I was the woman who zoned out during sex and ran through her to-do list. I couldn’t take a compliment without deflecting it. I went from task to task, never giving my body a chance to catch up and tell me how I was actually doing. Pleasure was a reward I had to earn first.
A lot of the language I found about women’s bodies and sexuality was about goddesses, priestesses, and past lives, and honestly, none of it landed for me. What did land was simpler: my body, nature, the actual experience of sensation, and understanding what was happening in my nervous system. I wasn’t looking for a new spiritual identity. I was looking for a better relationship with myself.

Golden Receiver: one-on-one somatic pleasure work
Golden Receiver is a body-based practice for women who want to feel more connected to themselves, their pleasure, and their capacity to receive. It isn’t about performing or reaching a goal. It’s about noticing what actually feels good, and letting yourself have it.
There are two ways to work with me.
In-person sessions in Fort Collins, Colorado
A 90-minute, one-on-one session in Fort Collins and the surrounding area. We begin with tea and conversation about your relationship with your body and what you’re hoping for. Then we set the space with breath, light meditation, and an intention. The heart of the session is a mix of energy work, guided practices, and full-body sensorial touch, always within the boundaries we agree on together. We close with time for you to come back to yourself.
Everything is consent-based. We talk about consent before we meet, again when you arrive, and moment to moment throughout. There’s no right way to respond and nothing you’re expected to do.
Sessions are $300, with multi-session packages available. I’m also open to traveling. Learn more about in-person sessions.
The Online Four-Week Journey, from anywhere
If you’re not near Colorado, or you’d rather do this work in your own space, the Online Four-Week Journey is four private video calls over four weeks:
- Your Story: I listen to your pleasure story, including the parts you’ve never said out loud.
- Ritual: a self-pleasure ritual, guided by me, live, at your pace. Together, but the hands are yours.
- Integration: we talk through what came up and what your body is telling you.
- Create Lasting Pleasure: we review your personalized pleasure plan, yours to return to long after our four weeks end.
Before we begin, you’ll fill out a private pleasure profile, and your Golden Receiver pleasure box arrives: a crystal pleasure wand you choose, a candle, ritual oil, a crystal, and a journal. Learn more about the online journey.
How to start
Both begin the same way: a short application, then a free 30-minute discovery call so we can get to know each other and make sure it’s a good fit. There’s no pressure and no commitment. Apply here.
Edge of Ether: hand-beaded capes
Edge of Ether is the line of hand-beaded capes I started in Austin. I design every cape, and each one is hand-beaded by master artisans in India and takes more than 15 hours to make. I order them in small batches of 10, so they never feel mass-produced.
My favorite part is watching someone put one on for the first time. Almost every time, they do a twirl. A cape works worn forward or backward, open or clasped, over a slip dress, denim, or a bodysuit. It’s the statement piece that every closet needs, made for a woman who’s done shrinking.

Birthright: a podcast and community
Birthright is my podcast and online community, where women come together to talk honestly about the real things of life: our bodies, our cycles, pleasure, relationships, and everything we were never taught. Frequently asked questions
What is somatic pleasure work?
Somatic means “of the body.” Somatic pleasure work focuses on your body’s actual experience, like sensation, breath, and your nervous system, instead of ideas about what pleasure is supposed to look like. In Golden Receiver, that means slowing down, noticing what feels good, and building your capacity to receive it.
Where are in-person sessions held?
In Fort Collins, Colorado and the surrounding area. I’m open to traveling out of state if travel expenses are covered.
Can I work with you if I don’t live in Colorado?
Yes. The Online Four-Week Journey works from anywhere, and your pleasure box ships to you before we start.
Do I need any experience?
None at all. You only need curiosity. We go at your pace, and the free discovery call is a chance to ask anything.
