Information collected automatically
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. We use this only to keep the site running and secure (for example, to block spam and repeated abusive form submissions).
- Cookies and similar technologies. See section 4.
We do not buy personal information about you from other companies.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Respond to you when you contact us or send a wholesale inquiry.
- Review your Golden Receiver application, decide together whether the work is a good fit, schedule your free discovery call and sessions (including sending you a preparation guide and calendar invite), and prepare for and provide your sessions safely.
- Fulfill your orders, including payment, shipping, and handling damaged-item claims.
- Send you Letters from the Hearth and the free vocal activation, only if you sign up on our website or say yes on your application. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Keep our website secure, prevent spam and fraud, and fix problems.
- Meet legal obligations, such as keeping sales records for tax purposes.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it or use it for targeted advertising.
3. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, only as needed for the services they provide to us, and under their own privacy and security commitments:
| Provider | What they do for us | Their privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Railway | Hosts our website and our secure database, where form messages and encrypted applications are stored | railway.com/legal/privacy |
| Stripe | Processes payments and checkout for shop purchases and session payments (including Klarna, if you choose to pay over time) | stripe.com/privacy |
| Cal.com | Runs our booking calendar for free calls, discovery calls, and coaching sessions | cal.com/privacy |
| Flodesk | Sends our newsletter and welcome email, and hosts our newsletter signup form | flodesk.com/privacy |
| Resend | Sends our website emails: alerts to us when a new message or application arrives (only the sender’s name and email address, never application answers), and session confirmations to booked clients (the preparation guide and a calendar invite) | resend.com/legal/privacy-policy |
| Google Workspace | Our business email inbox, used when you email us or we reply to you | policies.google.com/privacy |
Some parts of our website are provided by other companies under their own privacy policies:
- Spotify provides the music player and hosts our podcast audio. When you play an episode or use the player, your browser connects directly to Spotify.
- Eventbrite handles ticketing for some of our events. If you reserve a spot through Eventbrite, your information is collected by Eventbrite.
- Skool hosts the Birthright online community. If you join, your information is collected by Skool.
- Apple Podcasts, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Substack are linked from our site. We don’t share your information with them; if you follow a link, their policies apply.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business (in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information).
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising.
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
Our own cookies. Our website sets one essential cookie, used only to keep the site owner signed in to the private admin area. Visitors never receive it.
Third-party cookies and web beacons.
- Spotify: the embedded music player may set cookies when it loads or plays.
- Flodesk: the newsletter signup form is loaded from Flodesk and may use cookies. Newsletter emails contain small images (“web beacons”) that tell Flodesk when an email is opened or a link is clicked, so we can understand what resonates.
- Stripe: Stripe’s checkout uses cookies to process payments and prevent fraud.
We don’t use advertising cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics services such as Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, although embedded players may not.
5. How long we keep information
- Golden Receiver applications: if you become a client, we keep your application for as long as we work together and for up to 3 years afterward, so we can provide safe, continuous care. If we don’t work together, we delete your application within 12 months of receiving it.
- Contact and wholesale messages: up to 3 years, then deleted.
- Order records: 7 years, as required for tax and accounting.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time (see section 8). We’ll honor that request unless we’re legally required to keep something, such as tax records.
6. How we keep information safe
- Our website is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- Application answers and our private notes about them are encrypted in our database with a separate key. They’re readable only in our private admin area.
- Our admin area requires a password plus a one-time code from an authenticator app (two-factor authentication).
- Only Taylor has access to applications and messages.
- Email alerts about new applications never include your answers.
No method of storing or sending information online is 100% secure, but we take these steps because we know how personal this information is.
7. Information from minors
Our Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and Golden Receiver sessions and applications are for adults only. If you believe a minor has sent us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, and regardless of whether your state’s law technically applies to a business of our size, we’ll honor the following requests from anyone:
- Access: ask what personal information we have about you and get a copy.
- Correction: ask us to fix inaccurate information.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your information.
- Withdraw consent: withdraw your consent to our processing of your health or other sensitive information at any time. We’ll then delete it.
- Opt out: of the sale of your information, targeted advertising, or profiling. We don’t do any of these, so there is nothing to opt out of, but you can always ask.
- Unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link in any email.
How to make a request: email hello@taylortatum.com from the email address you used with us, and tell us what you’d like. We may ask a simple question to confirm it’s you. We’ll respond within 45 days, and we won’t treat you differently for making a request.
Appeals: if we decline your request, you can appeal by replying with “Appeal” in the subject line. We’ll respond within 45 days. If you’re still not satisfied, you may contact your state’s Attorney General.
9. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because we don’t sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, and don’t track you across other websites, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals don’t change how we handle your information. If that ever changes, we’ll update this policy and honor those signals.
Consumer health data
This section is our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, including for residents of Washington State and Nevada.
What we collect: through Golden Receiver applications only, with your consent, we collect the health and intimate information described in section 1: your physical, emotional, and nervous-system health; medications, physician care, allergies, and pregnancy; other medical details you share; and information about your sex life and experiences with pleasure and intimacy.
Where it comes from: directly from you, when you fill out an application.
Why we collect it and how we use it: only to understand what’s bringing you to this work, to decide together whether it’s a good fit, and to prepare for and provide your sessions safely, including honoring consent, sensitivities, and boundaries. We don’t use it for any other purpose.
Who we share it with: only with Railway, which stores our encrypted database on our behalf. We never sell your consumer health data, never use it for advertising, and never share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
Your rights: you can ask to see, or ask us to delete, your consumer health data at any time; ask for a list of the companies we’ve shared it with; and withdraw your consent. Email hello@taylortatum.com. We’ll respond within 45 days, and you can appeal a decision as described in section 8.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our Services change. We’ll update the date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll let people who’ve shared information with us know by email.
